Ime Dugopolje prvi se put spominje davne 1283. godine. Naziv duguje jedinstvenom, dugom i plodnom krškom polju koje se prostire u podnožju planine Mosor. The name Dugopolje was first recorded as early as 1283. It derives from the unique, long and fertile karst field stretching at the foot of Mount Mosor.
